Under the tutelage of Ms. Megias, a seasoned ELA and Theater Teacher, students will have “a chance to create their own work of original theater using Shakespeare’s text and to perform their work on an off-Broadway stage.”
At the culminating event, in late spring, Ms. Megias and the students will join groups from across the city and perform 5-8 minute scenes of Shakespeare at theAbrons Art Center Playhouse Theatre, 466 Grand Street, NY, NY 10002.
What better way to learn than by “watching, participating, experiencing, and engaging” to retain information. Interactive learning uses multiple parts of the brain.
Communciation is key! Learning a foreign language or sign language helps creates more positive attitudes and less prejudice toward people who are different.
Our students enjoyed this experiment that taught them that the key to an object not falling over is that its center of mass is directly above the base of support.
There were many attempts and spills to get it right. However, with the right amount of water in the soda can, the center of mass moves and ends up directly above the base of support.
